This role combines the deep operational discipline needed to manage multi-study sponsor portfolios with the technical fluency and stakeholder leadership required to architect and deliver complex integrations - from study design through go-live. Positioned at the intersection of sponsor relationship management, cross-functional orchestration, and eSource operational excellence, this person ensures that every Central eSource engagement moves forward with clarity, consistency, and accountability. They serve as the primary senior contact for sponsor organizations, the operational lead for internal study teams, and the connective tissue between product, engineering, study design, and client success. The ideal candidate brings both the structured thinking of a seasoned data manager and the technical depth to engage meaningfully on integration architecture, EDC mapping, and regulatory data standards. They build the playbooks, hold the accountability, and raise the bar for how CRIO delivers at scale. Change Management & Project Governance - Own the change management process for all in-flight Central eSource projects, ensuring scope changes are documented, assessed for impact, communicated to sponsors, and routed to appropriate internal teams. - Maintain project tracking artifacts including status dashboards, decision logs, open issue trackers, and milestone timelines. - Facilitate regular internal and external project reviews, driving action items to resolution and holding all parties accountable. - Identify workflow bottlenecks and introduce process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk across the portfolio. - Surface patterns across sponsor projects that warrant product enhancements and channel feedback into CRIO’s product roadmap process. The Study Design Specialist is responsible for creating comprehensive study builds from start to finish in the CRIO platform. This includes developing eSource from protocols and eCRFs, conducting post-build quality control reviews, and configuring budgets in our finance module. This individual will be considered an industry expert on the CRIO eSource and Finance modules. Responsibilities: - Utilize protocols, eCRF guidelines, pharmacy manuals, lab manuals, and other source documents to produce comprehensive builds for clients. - Interpret Clinical Trial Agreements and budgets for configuration in the CRIO finance module. - Design visit schedules and procedures for CTMS-only studies. - Complete client-requested edits and customizations. - Provide quality control reviews of client-built eSource and budget templates. - Manage complex trials to ensure all data is captured appropriately. - Modify standard templates to comply with protocol requirements. - Complete assignments on time. - Mentor and train current and new CRIO employees. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Product Designer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will own the design of intuitive and impactful user experiences central to our mission of modernizing clinical research. As a Senior Product Designer at CRIO, you will drive design strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the future of our products. About the role: The Director of Software Quality is a senior engineering leader responsible for the strategy, execution, and organizational health of the software quality function at CRIO. This is a transformational leadership role where you will define and execute a truly holistic quality strategy that will have a real impact on patient outcomes and accelerate company growth. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this role directly manages the test automation team and serves as the primary owner of automated quality across the platform. The Director will oversee an active engagement with an external test automation vendor, partner with application engineering teams on coverage strategy, and collaborate with the Director of Quality (manual QA) as a peer. This role is expected to expand in scope over time to encompass the broader quality organization. Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Development - Manage and develop a team of three test automation engineers, providing clear goals, regular feedback, and career growth opportunities. - Define team standards, tooling, and engineering practices for test automation. - Mentor engineers across skill levels and identify opportunities to grow the team's technical capabilities over time. Automation Strategy & Execution - Own and drive the test automation roadmap in partnership with the VP of Engineering. - Lead the design and evolution of automation frameworks, infrastructure, and CI/CD integration across the platform. - Establish coverage standards and ensure alignment between automation investment and product risk. Qualifications: Required - 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a focus on test automation for commercial SaaS applications. - 2+ years in a formal leadership or people management role, with demonstrated success developing engineers and driving team outcomes. - Senior-level command of Java and/or JavaScript, with deep experience designing and maintaining API and UI automation suites. - Proven track record owning and delivering on a test automation roadmap. - Experience managing external vendor or contractor relationships, including technical evaluation of deliverables. - Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience working across engineering, product, and operations stakeholders.
