Role Description As an intern on our Assessment Services Team, you’ll provide general administrative and report-writing support, with a primary focus on assisting projects related to Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. You’ll also help support our environmental teams through coordination and organization of our contractor network, along with assistance in data collection and report preparation. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, clear and professional communication skills (especially in technical writing), and excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience in the commercial real estate due diligence process while working alongside seasoned professionals who are eager to mentor and guide your growth. We are looking for someone to join our team for the summer months – approximately 20 hours a week. This would be a remote opportunity, located on the east coast time zone. How You’ll Make an Impact - Administrative & Report Support: Assist with preparing environmental reports - primarily Phase II deliverables. This includes compiling data, updating report content, and helping ensure consistency and accuracy across work products. - Contractor Network Organization & Support: Help organize, maintain, and track information related to our contractor network, including contact details, field specialties, and geographic service areas. Assist with contractor coordination and help facilitate communication between project managers and field contractors. - Problem-Solving: As you become familiar with our processes and reporting requirements, help answer internal questions, identify issues, and support the resolution of report- or task-related challenges. - Confidentiality: Be entrusted with proprietary templates and sensitive client information. Maintaining strict confidentiality of records, files, and work products is essential to this role. - Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Due Diligence: Gain exposure to a range of CRE environmental due diligence activities, with an emphasis on Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and opportunities to assist with other report types, including ESAs, PCAs, TSAs, RSRAs, and related deliverables. - Ongoing Growth & Development: Work side-by-side with senior team members who are experts in CRE due diligence. Through mentorship and collaboration, deepen your understanding of environmental processes, tools, and the business landscape that drives them. - Additional Task Exposure: As availability allows, assist with other environmental tasks and limited field-related support to better understand how field work connects to reporting and risk evaluation. Qualifications - A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of post-secondary education in geology, engineering, mathematics, chemistry, biology or other physical science. - Strong organizational skills. - A great work ethic (self-starter) – i.e., not afraid to jump in, learn the business and make an impact. - The ability to communicate effectively with team members both verbally and in writing. - The ability to adapt to updates in technology and process. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite software, such as Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
