Role Description The Channel Manager will support our Channel BD Manager in growing our sales by developing strategies to significantly improve our channel position. This position will have high visibility to our Senior leadership team and is a critical contributor to our growth ambitions. The Channel Manager has responsibility for managing customer interaction and channel strategy with the distribution partners in their assigned region. The technical trainer will work with the Market Manager-Chopper Pumps to create a training strategy/schedule to improve the knowledge/market awareness of CP&S Chopper Pumps to meet organizational needs. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Drives truck and trailer to sites for sales visits & training (DOT Physical) - Presentation and delivery of Chopper Pump focused content to channel partners, municipalities, engineering firms - Utilizes salesforce CRM to log visits and intel from in field visits - Create and deliver instructor-led, self-led and in-person curricula on Chopper Pumps - Measure effectiveness of training programs; develop reports, and comprehensive programs analysis - Coordinates and leads all new training development within assigned categories - Plans and implements creative marketing programs working with the Marketing Communications Specialist to promote the sales and profitability of assigned products - Conducts product training for sales representatives and distributors - Provides technical assistance for sales representatives and distributors - Participates actively in the Crane Business Systems and Quality processes including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities - Position requires approximately 75% travel - Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or technical field required - Resourceful in gathering information and strong analytical skills - A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and commercial productivity - Independent thinking is required as well as resilience, passion, and high-energy - Must demonstrate strong analytical and excellent communication skills (oral and written) - Good presentation skills - Must be very hands on - Must have valid driver’s license Crane Pumps & Systems will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
