THE OPPORTUNITY As the Sr. Analyst, Demand Planning, you will support Chipotle's demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by developing forecasts, analyzing trends, maintaining planning tools and reports, and partnering cross-functionally to improve visibility to demand-related risks and opportunities. Reporting to the Manager, Demand Planning & S&OP, this role will help drive forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness across the business by supporting routine demand planning activities, promotional and Limited-time-offer (LTO) forecasting, scenario analysis, and S&OP reporting. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead the end-to-end demand planning process through forecast preparation, data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. - Responsible for maintaining baseline demand forecasts and support forecast updates based on business trends, promotional plans, seasonality, and other key assumptions. - Responsible for the LTO and promotional demand planning activities through forecast development, scenario analysis, and ongoing performance tracking in partnership with the Manager, Demand Planning & S&OP and cross-functional stakeholders. - Prepare inputs and reporting for the S&OP process, including demand summaries, forecast changes, risks, opportunities, and key assumptions. - Analyze forecast performance and demand trends to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve forecast accuracy and planning outcomes. - Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and planning tools that improve visibility and support decision-making across the business. - Support sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling for new items, promotions, and LTOs to inform planning decisions. - Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and work instructions for demand planning and S&OP activities as needed. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE - Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 3-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory planning, operations planning, analytics, or a related field. - Experience supporting cross-functional planning processes and working with large data sets to generate business insights. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations. - Experience supporting promotions, innovation, or limited program planning is preferred. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Python or similar analytical and visualization tools preferred. - Experience with ERP or planning systems such as Oracle/Demantra, SAP, JDA, Logility, or similar systems is a plus.
