The Cedarville University School of Engineering and Computer Science is looking for exceptional civil engineering professionals to teach undergraduate students in our Bachelor of Civil Engineering program. We seek to train outstanding civil engineers who integrate highest level technical skills with an active Christian faith to transform lives across the world. We seek highly qualified candidates from across the spectrum of professional civil engineering practice. Our program emphasizes rigorous academics combined with extensive hands-on learning and service opportunities. We aim to cultivate technical professionals who are committed to excellence in character, conduct, and skill. The BSCE degree is housed in the new Civil Engineering Center which opened in Fall 2020. The CEC has been purposely designed for the civil engineering program and includes dedicated laboratories, classrooms, project spaces, and faculty offices. This exciting facility has allowed us to create a program which provides students with exceptional hands-on learning opportunities while building strong professional identity and establishing life-long relationships. This position is primarily focused on teaching in an undergraduate engineering program. Teaching appointments may include traditional lecture style delivery, as well as instruction in the integrated laboratory elements of our courses. Immediate need areas include: - Geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics - Air pollution and control - Hydrology Engineering professionals with expertise in other areas of civil engineering are encouraged to apply.
