Reporting to the Controller, you will serve as a critical leader within our Finance team and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Support, Supply Chain, and Operations. Location: Hybrid (2+ days per week in the office in Charlestown, MA). What you will do - Audit Leadership: Lead preparation and compliance efforts for the year-end financial audit, ensuring accurate documentation and support for revenue and AR. - Proactively identify opportunities to introduce AI tools and automation into day-to-day accounting and billing workflows; collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate manual tasks and drive operational efficiency across the board. - Advanced Month-End Close: Take a lead role in month-end close tasks, including complex revenue recognition analysis, contract reviews, general ledger account reconciliations, and AR aging analysis. - Reporting & Analytics: Design, build, and deliver weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reports to provide leadership with actionable insights into revenue and aging trends. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner as a key advisor within the Finance team and collaborate cross-functionally across departments to streamline billing workflows and resolve systemic issues. - Billing & AR Ownership: Oversee and optimize billing systems to ensure customers and distributors are billed on time and with full accuracy. Act as the escalation point for complex billing inquiries and support tickets via Zendesk, email, and phone. - Credit & Collections Management: Monitor accounts receivable and aging reports, spearheading strategic collection efforts for overdue accounts and managing cash application processes.
