The role: As a key frontline team member at Better Life Partners, you will serve as a primary point of contact for members, helping them understand, coordinate, and access the care and support they need. You’ll embody our core values by delivering compassionate, organized, and responsive support to ensure every member feels seen, heard, and cared for. This is a Remote position. Unless otherwise agreed upon, all candidates must reside in-market. Our team provides services Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Shifts are 8 hours. Team members must be able to work at least three evening shifts per week. The work schedule would be Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 to 8:30 PM, and Friday through Saturday, 8:30 to 5:00 PM. The role: Our organization is seeking a Medication Associate to join our Central Member Services department / Medication Management Team. This is a full-time position with a rapidly growing company that will be loaded with challenges, excitement, and opportunity. • Review denied claims based on assigned markets, payers and work queues within our practice management system • Accurately and efficiently processes requests for denied claims information using website portals and outbound phone calls for all Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid insurance payers • Researches and responds to documentation requests from insurance carriers in a timely manner • Processes appeals of insurance denials and follows-up until the appeal is resolved • Obtains, reviews and updates patient demographics and insurance information within both EHR and practice management billing system as needed • Complete timely follow-up on claims submitted to payer, but no response or ERA after 45 days to resolve any pending issues with claim and payer within timely filing limits • Documents clear and concise activities performed in the system for each account worked • Adheres to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Accountability and Portability Act) guidelines and regulations • Ability to consistently maintain productivity and quality expectations as defined by the leadership team • Alert management to irregularities, insurance trends and areas of concern with reimbursement • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned by RCM Leadership
