Safety, Compliance & Chemical Handling - Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, EPA, OSHA, and hazardous chemical regulations. - Manage Driver Qualification Files including licensing, medical certifications, and testing. - Lead investigations for spills, releases, and preventable accidents. Fleet, Equipment & Maintenance Management - Oversee readiness of tractors, tank trailers, pumps, compressors, and chemical equipment. - Manage maintenance programs and track out-of-service assets. - Monitor asset performance, fuel efficiency, and utilization using Samsara data (idling, harsh braking, speeding, engine diagnostics). - Ensure tank trailer certifications such as pressure and thickness testing. Cross Functional Coordination & Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement - Coordinate with site Logistics, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and EH&S teams. - Leverage BluJay TMS analytics to reduce freight cost, improve ontime performance, increase asset utilization, and capture accessorials accurately. - Use Samsara dashboards to drive safety coaching, reduce idle time, improve fuel efficiency, and eliminate HOS violations. - Standardize SOPs across sites including driver guides and emergency protocols. - Support continuous improvement initiatives including PDCA, Kaizen, and RCA. What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities): Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of transportation/dispatch experience including bulk chemical liquid operations. - Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, HAZMAT requirements, and tank trailer operations. - Hands-on experience with BluJay (e2open) TMS and Samsara telematics. - Experience leading drivers or dispatch teams in a safety-critical environment.
