Role Description The Risk Oversight team sits within the Risk and Compliance Department as part of the Second Line of Defence (LOD2). Its primary role is to provide independent oversight and challenge across both Financial and Non-Financial Risk areas. The team focuses on enhancing risk governance, ensuring regulatory alignment and strengthening risk informed decision making across the business. This is a permanent role that could be located in either our Bristol office or undertaken remotely. - Provide independent risk oversight & challenge on Operational risks areas, ensuring the business is effectively identifying, assessing and mitigating risks. - Ensure robust risk governance by maintaining oversight of Operational risk frameworks, policies and regulatory requirements. - Deliver clear and actionable risk insights through high-quality reporting to senior management and risk committees. Key Accountabilities - Review and challenge Operational risk incident declarations, mitigation measures and investigations led by First Line of Defence. - Provide risk oversight on key change/strategic business projects. - Oversee risk registers and assessments, providing challenge on risk ratings decisions and ensuring escalation of key risks to appropriate risk committees. - Conduct formal second-line reviews with risk owners to assess the Operational risk exposure to the business. - Develop and issue regular independent risk opinions on Operational risk areas, informing senior management and relevant committees. - Lead and deliver initiatives to implement second-line requirements, aligning with group risk expectations and timelines. - Actively contribute to the Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC) and other risk committees where necessary. - Conduct gap analysis on operational risk policies, ensuring compliance with group risk frameworks and tracking remediation actions to closure. - Engage with business units to provide independent risk challenge, guidance and support, driving proactive risk management and strengthening the overall risk culture. Key Competencies - Demonstrates a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and principles in order to challenge and guide stakeholders to strengthen operational risk management practices. - Ability to analyse complex risk data, produce high quality reports and ensure accuracy in risk reporting and governance documentation. - Ability to build strong relationships across business functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business. - Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain risk insights clearly to non-risk professionals. - Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and honesty in all work activities. Demonstrates resilience when faced with challenging situations. Able to empathise whilst remaining impartial. - Manages own workload and prioritises tasks in line with team priorities; escalates issues in line with processes. - Strong drive to achieve and ability to deliver results. - Ability to adapt to evolving risk frameworks, regulatory changes and methodologies. Skills, Experience & Background - Excellent financial and commercial awareness, combined with demonstrable relationship management and effective communication skills. - Experience of working in a similar Risk Management role. - Strong, effective communicator with a career that demonstrates experience of working previously in risk management. - Comprehensive knowledge of financial risk concepts, tools, techniques, methodologies, approaches. - Holds relevant risk management qualification – essential. - Excellent IT literacy for all MS office products, specifically Powerpoint & Excel. • Your goal is to further expand our successful fleet leasing business. • From your home office, you will ensure intensive support for the dealers in your region and drive the full-service leasing business with commercial customers. • You act as the interface between the dealerships and our central specialist departments. • You support the manufacturer's brand dealers in business operations and in acquiring new commercial customers, and advise them on daily processes. • At the same time, you optimize service processes and service quality. • You also continuously train and support your dealers in the use of our online calculation/quotation tool.
• Your objective is to further expand and digitally transform the processes of our successful fleet leasing business as part of our partnership with Ford. • You proactively and independently identify and acquire new customers within your sales territory. • You keep a clear focus on building long-term business relationships. • From your home office, you also manage the business with prominent existing clients. • You develop needs analyses and ensure competent advice across all areas. • For all activities, you can rely on the support of our qualified inside sales team.
