Role Description Avocado is currently looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to be part of the Strategic Partnership Team. This role will be responsible for maintaining, selling, and growing our large Southwest retail partners. In this senior leadership role, you will: - Spearhead the cultivation of high-impact strategic relationships. - Drive macro-level growth across key retail accounts. - Architect and deliver enablement frameworks—including tools, training, and resources—necessary to maximize partner success. - Utilize HubSpot CRM and advanced analytics to own account intelligence, track performance metrics, and oversee long-term initiative planning. - Engage in strategic travel for high-level partner site visits, represent the company at major industry trade shows, and align with executive leadership at corporate meetings. Note on Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $100,000-$130,000. Qualifications - At least 5 years of sales experience with a demonstrated record of creating, maintaining, and growing outstanding client relationships. - Experience leading and managing a team of brand representatives. - Mattress and Bedding experience a huge plus, along with industry relationships, especially on the East Coast. - Possess strong research, writing, editing, and client interaction skills. - Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - Organized, self-motivated, with a proactive approach to managing and executing projects. - Ability to use independent judgment, analyze information, and formulate recommendations to solve problems. - A passion for the foundations and core beliefs in Avocado as the leader in certified organic and sustainable products. Requirements - Service East Coast key partners by building and growing relationships within the organization. - Oversee team of account trainers and key account managers in the SE region. - Visit offices and buyers to build rapport, relationships, and business. - Conduct store visits and work with Market Trainers to drive sales, training, and growth of AGB in each partner. - Help to open new strategic accounts on the East Coast. - Work with Retail Development Team on displays, POP options, delivery and set-up. - Liaison between AGB and assigned accounts. - Manage timelines, oversee execution, and follow-up once an account is onboarded. - Perform day-to-day responsibilities of account management including status reports, delivery service help, solving issues, and connecting the appropriate people and departments to grow. - Create, submit, and follow up with tasks associated with your assigned accounts. - Spend time in East Coast flagship Avocado stores building relationships and staying in tune with our unique approach to doing business. - Be responsible for the sales, profit, expenses, marketing, and merchandising functions for the assigned partner. - Lead the customer account planning cycle and develop strategic short- and long-run plans that will achieve predetermined sales goals. - Ensure customer-specific programs, guidelines, and policies are communicated and followed. - Regularly evaluate a partner's sales performance and develop strategies to sustain successes and improve deficiencies. - Keep management updated about the partners’ strategic plans and goal progression. - Perform other duties as assigned to help support AGB’s larger visions. THE ROLE Avocado is currently looking for an Account Trainer to be part of the Strategic Partners Team. You will be reporting to the Senior Key Account Manager. This role will use phone, email, texts, a CRM and other applications for establishing, building, maintaining, and growing long-term partnerships between Avocado and Strategic Retail Partners. The AM will utilize the CRM software to track and report all activities and communications. Travel is required and key to the success of the position. Travel includes visiting Strategic Partners, trade shows, and Avocado team meetings. The AM will share our purpose and passion for making a real difference in the health, wellness and lives of others. *Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON - Servicing assigned Strategic Partners by assisting them with challenges, pricing, merchandising, point of sales, promotions and other interactions with Avocado. - Building and maintaining a prospect funnel for growth of new partners. - Meeting revenue and new account acquisition goals. - Comprehensive use of Hubspot CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. This includes entering call notes, contact information, communications and planning upcoming events. - Providing in person and virtual training as needed to retailers by educating them in using Avocademy, ordering portal, location of assets, price lists, and marketing tools. - Analysis of sales data and providing merchandising recommendations on new and existing products and accessories based on this analysis. - Processing Point of Purchase (POP) requests and guiding assigned accounts in what POP should be displayed. - Communicate challenges and opportunities to the Customer Experience Team and Management. - Manages price lists including adding new products, adjustments, and updates. WHAT YOU BRING - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced Sales environment. - Knowledge of Mattresses, adjustable bases, and bedding is a PLUS - Excellent communication skills. - Excellent time management skills. - Positive, High energy, Self-Motivated. - Technological skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and virtual meetings. Ability to use Excel is emphasized. - Self-driven and disciplined. - Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally. - Regular and predictable attendance.
