Description ATSI support services are growing. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record of success to join our team. This full-time position supports the Office of Naval Research (ONR). The High Performance Computing Specialist will provide support to ONR Program Officers who lead the Navy’s High Performance Computing Program. The selected candidate will assist with managing user access and resource allocation for ONR High Performance Computing systems. Responsibilities include supporting the user community of scientists and engineers who rely on Navy High Performance Computing resources to conduct research and development activities supporting Navy science and technology priorities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing user access, computational resource allocation, and coordination with ONR security personnel to ensure compliance with system access requirements. Requirements - Current SECRET level clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance prior to contract award. - High school diploma with at least six (6) years of experience providing similar technical or administrative support to organizations OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years of experience providing similar support. - Experience interacting with scientists, engineers, or technical research personnel in a research, laboratory, or government environment. - Ability to support and manage user accounts and system access for High Performance Computing environments or similar technical systems. - Experience tracking and managing resource usage, including monitoring and reporting computational resource utilization such as CPU hours. - Ability to support allocation of computational resources based on program priorities and leadership guidance. - Experience coordinating with security personnel to verify user credentials and security clearances for access to systems handling classified computational workloads. - Strong organizational, communication, and customer support skills when working with large user communities. - Ability to track, manage, and report usage data accurately while supporting program requirements. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting ONR program leadership and technical users. Role Description The Program Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the Summer 2026 Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) and Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) across participating Naval laboratories. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of coordination between the Government program office, Naval Warfare Centers, laboratory site coordinators, and internship applicants to ensure the successful recruitment, onboarding, security processing, and participation of interns. The Program Manager will ensure all internship program activities are conducted efficiently, in compliance with government requirements, and in alignment with program timelines. Key Responsibilities - Internship Offer Management: - Compile and maintain the master list of internship applicants recommended for offers across participating Naval sites. - Track offer status and ensure timely communication with applicants and site coordinators. - Security Clearance Coordination: - Manage the processing of security clearances for interns requiring access to Naval installations. - Coordinate completion of required security documentation, including e-fingerprinting and clearance application forms. - Track clearance progress and notify Government representatives when interns receive interim or final clearance determinations. - Provide required documentation to Naval installation security offices to support base access for interns. - Coordinate with site security personnel to ensure compliance with security and access requirements. - Intern Onboarding: - Distribute internship agreement forms outlining program participation guidelines and obtain required signatures. - Provide and track start and end date verification forms for interns and laboratory site coordinators. - Process onboarding documentation required by each participating Naval laboratory site. - Ensure interns are properly onboarded in accordance with program policies and site requirements. - Program Coordination and Meetings: - Participate in monthly and weekly meetings with Naval Warfare Center representatives and laboratory coordinators to discuss program status, resolve issues, and coordinate program activities. - Provide program updates and address operational matters. - Maintain continuity and institutional knowledge of program procedures and requirements. - Program Metrics and Reporting: - Develop and provide Return on Investment (ROI) metrics related to program participation. - Track participation statistics across participating sites and provide regular reporting to Government stakeholders. - Program Communications: - Manage routine correspondence with internship applicants, participating interns, Naval Warfare Center staff, and laboratory site coordinators. - Provide timely updates and responses to program inquiries. - Support the distribution of program information, timelines, and requirements to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Security Clearance Processing • Coordinate the security clearance process for interns requiring access to Naval installations. • Provide instructions and guidance to interns on completing required security documentation and forms. • Monitor completion of security paperwork and ensure all required information is submitted accurately and on time. • Track the status of security clearance submissions and maintain records of clearance processing milestones. Fingerprinting Coordination • Coordinate and facilitate electronic fingerprinting requirements for interns requiring security processing. • Ensure fingerprinting is scheduled and completed in accordance with security processing timelines. • Verify completion of fingerprint submissions and ensure documentation is properly recorded. Security Documentation Management • Collect and review required security forms and supporting documentation from interns. • Ensure all required materials are complete and submitted to the appropriate security offices. • Maintain organized records of security documentation and clearance tracking.
