Role Description The Instructional Designer supports the design, development, and maintenance of a large-scale learning ecosystem consisting of 1,200+ learning modules. This role applies adult learning best practices, user experience principles, and data-informed decision-making to create engaging, scalable learning experiences. The Instructional Designer develops and maintains both off-the-shelf and custom eLearning programs and supplemental materials, leveraging available tools and technologies to ensure quality, consistency, and learner-centered outcomes. Responsibilities - Partner with instructors, project leads, and other key stakeholders during course planning to define learning outcomes, target audience needs, instructional strategy, course components, assessment approaches, and project scope, ensuring alignment before development begins. - Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop high-quality eLearning content, ensuring content meets instructional design standards, learning outcomes, and brand and quality standards. - Interface with customers, instructors, project leads, and internal stakeholders to establish course roadmaps, learning outcomes, scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with learner needs, client expectations, and project objectives. - Design and develop new library and custom courses; assist at all phases throughout the design and development lifecycle in both independent and team-based approaches, leverage technology and curated content, and ensure quality and accuracy throughout. - Maintain existing courses as applicable; incorporate user experience enhancements, apply instructional design best practices, respond to customer inquiries/content challenges and apply updates as applicable to art, graphics, learning treatments and subject matter to ensure accuracy and relevance. - Partner with and provide best practices to eLearning Developers, SMEs, and instructors on instructional best practices, content design, and evaluation. Design and socialize templates, as needed. Keep department policies and guidelines up to date, as needed. - Define and map learning outcomes to competency frameworks for specific products, supporting clear learning pathways and measurable skill development. - Apply knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards to review learning products, maintain VPAT documentation, and recommend accessibility enhancements where feasible. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Training & Development, or Education with focus on Adult Learning or related area of study. - 5 years' experience in learning and development course design. - Experience with eLearning course-building tools, including but not limited to Articulate (preferred), Adobe Captivate, or similar. - Knowledge and practical application of adult learning principles to products to facilitate learning and enhance user experience. - Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing SMEs, instructors, and other cross-functional stakeholders. - Familiarity with learning experience design (LXD) and UX principles as applied to digital learning products. - Working knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards and experience supporting VPAT documentation. - Familiarity with MS Office, JIRA, Smartsheets Adobe, and/or project management tools to support overall product development. - Strong knowledge of learning delivery platforms such as LMS, LCRS, microlearning, V-ILT tools. - Graphic Design experience, preferred. - Experience mapping learning outcomes to competency or skill frameworks. - Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects in fast paced environment. - Comfortable working in a matrix organization with ability to work effectively in a diverse and geographically dispersed work environment. - Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal. - Able to efficiently acquire new skills based on emerging technologies. - Technically proficient and possess creative and intuitive problem-solving ability. - Proofreading and editing capabilities.

Role Description The Associate eLearning Developer is a part of our dynamic eLearning Production team and plays an integral role in designing, producing, and maintaining high-quality eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and related content.
