Role Description We're looking for a Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) to help us build a different kind of primary care—one that's simpler for patients, more fulfilling for clinicians, and thoughtfully designed around technology. As a Primary Care Physician on our virtual care team, you’ll play a critical role in delivering mostly asynchronous primary care to our members. You’ll care for adult patients across: - Preventive care - Chronic disease management - Common acute concerns What you will do: - Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered primary care across asynchronous and synchronous modalities, using strong clinical judgment to triage, manage, and refer patients appropriately. - Build strong, longitudinal patient relationships that drive sustained engagement and high patient satisfaction. - Use data and clinical insight to support proactive panel management, close care gaps, and improve outcomes as Sana’s population health capabilities evolve. - Proactively contribute to clinical protocols, workflows, or operations that enhance patient experience, quality, or efficiency. - Communicate with clarity and empathy while adhering to and strengthening team communication norms. - Manage a fast-paced caseload of at least 20 asynchronous cases per day while maintaining excellent clinical standards. - Quickly master Sana's clinical platforms, AI-assisted workflows, and technology, while identifying opportunities to improve our tools, workflows, and the way we deliver care. - Provide physician supervision and clinical support for Advanced Practice Providers in accordance with state regulations, helping foster a collaborative, high-quality care team. - Collaborate across clinical, product, and operations teams with humility, a low-ego mindset, and a commitment to shared success. Qualifications - Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. - Currently licensed in Texas; additional active licenses (especially Arizona and California) are a plus. - Available to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time. - At least 3 years of independent outpatient primary care experience after residency. - Telemedicine and/or startup experience is preferred. Requirements - $235,000 - $255,000 a year. - Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $235,000 to $255,000 base + equity per year for all US-based remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Role Description The Physician position provides supervision to extenders and consultation to internal and external providers, supporting the administrative process. Physicians will provide direct client care consistent with their training, certification, and local, state, and federal guidelines, including DBHDD and Advantage policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities and Performance Standards - Provides medical and/or addiction medicine services/supervision/consultation to staff at ADVANTAGE. - Provides medical consultation for other physicians and nurse practitioners concerning consumer management and treatment recommendations. - Provides consultation to psychiatrists and outpatient treatment facilities regarding community resources and triage of medications to patients as needed. - Provides medical treatment and medicine services/supervision to other programs as needed. - Provides feedback to the medical staff through the agency’s performance evaluation system for medical staff members. - Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation. - Defines goals and/or required results at the beginning of the performance period and gains acceptance of ideas by creating a shared vision. - Communicates regularly with staff on progress toward defined goals and/or required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when defined goals and/or results are met. - Confers regularly with staff to review employee relations climate, specific problem areas, and actions necessary for improvement. - Evaluates employees at scheduled intervals, obtains and considers all relevant information in evaluations, and supports staff by giving praise and constructive criticism. - Motivates staff to improve the quantity and quality of work performed and provides training and development opportunities as appropriate. Role Description We are excited to build our National Virtual Care team with an experienced Physician who is passionate about obesity medicine and metabolic health.
