Role Description Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer develops and maintains the embedded software for optical transceivers, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software, with responsibilities including: - Writing, debugging, and testing firmware for optical transceivers, often using C or C++. - Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure the firmware works seamlessly with the transceiver's hardware. - Thoroughly testing firmware to ensure it meets performance and reliability requirements. - Debugging and resolving issues with firmware and hardware integration. - Optimizing firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption. - Maintaining detailed documentation of firmware code and functionality.
