Role Description Gray Media is looking for a Senior PHP / Laravel Developer with strong experience building and maintaining modern web applications, with a particular focus on sales and revenue-supporting applications. This role will work alongside the Gray Digital Development team to design, build, and evolve internal tools and integrations that support sales operations, data workflows, and business intelligence. • Install, configure, administer, manage, and document MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (MongoDB) in high availability • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time • Advise management regarding integration of IT programs • Lead engineering and architecture activities related to database performance monitoring • Develop new theories, concepts, and principles to improve data stores • Manage database assets including maintenance of inventory and documentation • Provide expert level DBA services across platforms • Collaborate with developers to perform physical database design • Recommend design changes to enhance user experience

• Designing and building scalable backend services and systems that power core DVI workflows and enable future AI-driven capabilities • Owning complex problem spaces end-to-end, from technical discovery and solution evaluation through delivery and iteration • Partnering closely with Product to translate customer problems into technical solutions with strong product outcomes • Evaluating tradeoffs between multiple architectural approaches and providing clear recommendations and estimates • Ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability of systems in production, while maintaining high standards for code quality and system design • Manage the end-to-end life cycle on the development of new features • Leading by influence—raising the technical bar, mentoring teammates, and contributing to a strong engineering culture

• Leading the rearchitecture and implementation of the User Management platform—the foundation for authentication, authorization, and access control across Arcadia products • Building backend services and APIs (NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL) supporting secure, multi-tenant access models • Designing distributed, event-driven systems to synchronize user data and access events across Arcadia applications • Driving modernization of existing authentication and provisioning flows (Auth0, SAML 2.0, OAuth2, JWT) • Managing cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and AWS-native services (ECS, S3, SNS, Aurora) • Defining SLOs and designing telemetry for key features, ensuring robust monitoring, canary, and standard rollout strategies • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders—including Product, Security, and SRE—to ensure alignment between technical execution and organizational priorities • Providing leadership, mentorship, and clarity in complex, ambiguous problem spaces • Joining the engineering on-call rotation, contributing to the reliability and operational excellence of the User Management platform and related services • Ensuring that documentation, operational runbooks, and best practices are well maintained and available for peers and downstream teams
