Senior Product Manager, Redis Core – Document Database

Redis

• Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap for Redis’s document-oriented data capabilities as well as advanced ways to query them • Identify and prioritize document-centric use cases where Redis delivers strong customer value • Work with our alliances team to establish relationships with key partners in the document-centric application and data ecosystem, and drive joint customer value • Translate customer and market needs around JSON-based data models, document access patterns, scalability, and reliability into clear product requirements • Partner with GTM, sales, and marketing to help position and explain Redis’s document use cases • Gather customer feedback through direct engagement, usage data, and market research • Drive successful launches and measure adoption and impact

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software product management or equivalent experience in an enterprise organization
  • Strong understanding of document-oriented data models and application data patterns (e.g., JSON-based data, document storage and access patterns, or similar systems)
  • Ability to articulate both high-level concepts and detailed technical requirements concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable with code and capable of collaborating closely with engineers on technical design
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
  • Extra great if you have
  • Experience managing database, infrastructure, or storage products
  • Hands-on experience with popular document databases (e.g., Couchbase, Firestore, or Aerospike)
  • Experience building developer-centric APIs, SDKs, or tools
  • Prior experience with NoSQL or real-time databases (extra points for Redis experience)

Role Description Peraton is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) program. The DBA will implement and optimize the computerized database systems that support CA’s ability to function daily and, therefore, enable its mission. Core Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00 AM ET - 4:00 PM ET (flexible) Location: This position is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Area (DMV) to accommodate occasional onsite meetings, training, or customer support activities at the Washington, DC, customer location or the Peraton office in Sterling, VA. The number of days the DBA works on-site in Washington, DC, or Sterling, VA, is subject to change based on government/program requirements (for example, surge support might require the individual to be in the office five days per week). - Implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. - Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases. - Review database designs and integration of systems; provide backup recovery; and recommend enhancements. - Maintain security and integrity controls. - Manage day-to-day enterprise security hygiene, rapidly executing remediations for high-severity CVEs and actively exploited KEVs to protect core systems and applications. - Formulate policies, procedures, and standards related to database management, and monitor transaction activity and utilization. - Develop stored procedures and triggers. - Administer a variety of database systems, such as Oracle RDBMS, MS SQL Server, Postgres DB, and other Database Management Systems (DBMS). - Develop and enforce database administration and user standards and procedures; audit, modify, and amend data in systems using SQL commands. - Oversee the scheduling of database projects, database and transaction log backups, notifications, and database replication between multiple SQL servers and remote sites. - Help database designers/information system analysts develop and create SQL and Web-based databases and database systems. - Review technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff. - Create and maintain high-level reporting systems using products, such as Oracle OEM BI reports; research and implement new database and online technology. - Apply solid DBA skills to Oracle RAC and Data Guard installation, configuration, and troubleshooting production issues. - Apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to investigate and resolve complex system requirements and issues. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Oracle RDBMS upgrade from 11g/12c to 19c and Containerization. - Experience working with Oracle Cloud Computing (private or public). - Experiences with an Oracle Engineered System, such as Exadata and Sun Super Cluster. - Experience as an operational DB Ops lead.
