AI-Enabled Engineering Responsibilities • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and approved AI solutions. • Identify opportunities to improve engineering velocity and software quality through AI-enabled workflows and drive adoption of effective AI engineering practices. • Apply AI across the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture exploration, implementation, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and operational support. • Use AI responsibly utilizing only approved AI tools as an accelerator, not a replacement for engineering judgement. Validate and review AI-generated output to ensure correctness, security, maintainability, and compliance. • Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and bring practical innovation to engineering teams. Ownership & Operational Excellence • Senior Engineers are expected to own the systems they build. • Support production systems, participating in incident response activities, and conducting root cause analysis. • Design monitoring, telemetry, and observability solutions. • Drive reliability, resiliency, performance, and scalability improvements. • Partner with support, operations, and product teams to reduce operational risk.
