Job Description

Cloud Operations DBA – Mid-level

Dedalus

• Work with the Operations team to support and manage customer environments in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure and OCI), focused on database technologies — SQL, PaaS, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, among others, acting within the Support Operations team. • Take ownership of tickets and alerts received by the operation: perform initial analysis, drive resolution within your technical scope, assist Junior DBAs when they have questions, and escalate to the Specialized Operations team when the issue does not progress. • Communicate with clients: log ticket opening, provide regular updates, and confirm closure with evidence. • Execute tasks based on KBs, playbooks and internal or vendor documentation; request new procedures, training and support for recurring tickets. • Handle known monitoring alerts, validate impact and correlate events. • Perform initial technical validations and health checks aligned with your specialty according to procedures defined for each environment or client. • Ensure all escalations include full context, evidence and performed validations, eliminating rework and avoiding the need for the client to repeat information. • Record and document all actions in the ITSM with quality and supporting evidence. • Identify opportunities for improvement, automation and use of AI in daily procedures and discuss them with coordination. • Remain responsible for the ticket until its proper transition to the next team, ensuring all necessary information has been shared and the client does not need to repeat the support context. • Question and identify improvement opportunities whenever you notice repetitive activities, operational bottlenecks or lack of documentation, contributing to the continuous evolution of the operation. • Own the support interaction from first contact, maintaining a proactive approach to finding solutions and communicating with the client until the ticket is properly transitioned or resolved.
