Construction Manager

Red Dot

• Serve as the main customer contact, providing regular updates on project status, contract review, drawing approvals, and delivery/erection schedules • Coordinate any customer-driven changes with internal departments, assessing the impact on costs and timelines, and issuing change orders accordingly • Review all Red Dot deliverables to ensure accuracy and alignment with the project scope and contractual obligations before submission to the client • Provide technical information and support to both external and internal customers • Investigate and resolve field-related issues in a timely manner, documenting resolutions and completing problem reports as necessary • Develop and coordinate internal schedules to meet project requirements and deadlines • Assist the accounting department with invoicing by determining the monthly schedule of values • Negotiate, hire, and manage subcontractors for various phases of the project • Manage change orders, attend job site meetings, and ensure effective communication throughout the project • Oversee the final closeout process, ensuring all project requirements are met and the customer is satisfied

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, with 6-8 years of relevant industry experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Proven experience in commercial construction, with a preference for candidates with metal buildings knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed to review and resolve project issues, including overnight stays when required
  • Strong ability to handle urgent requests and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong self-discipline and the ability to make sound judgments in decision-making processes
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, even in high-pressure or adversarial situations
