Role Description We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale critical rental systems that power core business operations. This role requires strong expertise on backend development, with the ability to design end-to-end solutions, drive architecture decisions, and deliver highly scalable, resilient systems. You will partner with product, design, and engineering teams to build modern, customer-centric rental experiences and robust backend platforms. • Join Archy as a Senior Backend Software Engineer and help revolutionize dental practice management with our cutting-edge SaaS solution. • Take full accountability for the end-to-end delivery of major product updates. • Proactively leverage AI tools to complement your workflow and increase velocity. • Collaborate with product teams to integrate and improve AI capabilities within the Archy platform. • Collaborate closely with the Frontend team to ensure seamless integration between our Java Spring Boot backend and React/TypeScript frontend. • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to help the team continuously improve. • Identify opportunities for improving team efficiency and work to implement those improvements. • Estimate and plan development efforts for projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

• Design and develop high-impact microservices projects, ensuring security, high availability, and resilience for our customers; • Translate functional and business requirements into efficient microservices architectures and secure technical designs; • Assist the team with development best practices, design patterns, testing, and code reviews, including defining the team's processes and practices; • Promote and maintain a culture of technical documentation, ensuring platform solutions are easy for other teams to adopt; • Work in a highly collaborative and analytical environment with practices such as code reviews, pair programming, and data-driven development.
