Role Description Join a specialist Australian residential builder as its dedicated estimator, working fully remotely from the Philippines. It is a role you can own end to end, with a clear path to grow into a long-term career alongside a supportive, founder-led team that values precision and accountability. As the dedicated estimator, you will own the estimating function end to end for residential duplex projects, from interpreting drawings, plans and specifications through to preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents. Day to day you will: - Complete quantity take-offs across all trades. - Source and review supplier and subcontractor pricing. - Build accurate, competitive quotes that support a fixed-price delivery model, working primarily in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools across the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace environments. - Liaise closely with the founder and wider project team to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies and finalize pricing. This is a standalone, high-trust position with room to grow as the business expands its duplex development pipeline across Sydney. Qualifications - Previous construction estimating experience, ideally in a residential or duplex building environment. - Proven ability to prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents. - The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications. - Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy across every estimate. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating tools, along with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. - Familiarity with Australian construction standards and building codes (preferred). - Knowledge of the Sydney construction market and supplier pricing (advantageous). - Preferably a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering. - Demonstrated employment stability, with a preference for candidates who have remained with previous employers for approximately two years or more. - A genuine interest in establishing a long-term career within our business and growing alongside the team. - Excellent written and spoken English. Requirements - Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop or desktop, quiet workspace). - Available to work full-time during Australian business hours. - Proactive attitude, able to follow up suppliers, subcontractors and third parties without being prompted. Benefits - Full-time, work-from-home role aligned to Australian business hours. - A stable, long-term opportunity with a growing residential builder. - Direct engagement with the founder and a supportive, close-knit team. - Training and support provided. - The chance to own the estimating function and grow as the business expands its pipeline.
