• Prepare detailed estimates for refrigeration and mechanical construction and retrofit projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, RFPs, and on-site conditions. • Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost analysis; coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for accurate pricing. • Develop and write clear subcontractor scopes of work. • Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid walkthroughs as required, including roof access when necessary. • Create comprehensive project budgets, bid proposals, and cost breakdowns, supported by detailed documentation. • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to align estimates with project goals and company strategy. • Develop, maintain and update standard estimating tools and historical cost databases. • Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and code changes. • Lead internal bid strategy meetings and coordinate deliverables for awarded projects with the Systems Team.

• Perform cost estimates for HV and MV electrical power systems • Develop detailed material takeoffs • Review client RFP documents to determine scope, schedule and design criteria • Review preliminary design drawings and documents • Assist in client bid evaluation phase, participating in cost reviews, RFI responses, etc. • Present cost estimates to department and company leadership • Compile and track historical bids and project execution costs for reference/use on future bids

• The Estimator interprets total opening requirements as set forth within contract documents concerning an individual construction project • Works directly with Contractor including the hard bid processes • Reviews scope of work with General Contractor pre/post bid and hardware/HMF manufacturer combo packages determine most competitive position • Performs labor cost interpretation based on scope of work • Receives constructing plans, drawings and specifications and reviews for familiarization; checks for completeness; notes bid deadlines and any special requirements • Organizes approach to project by deciding how to separate portions of major projects and to identify typical opening or hardware sets, etc.; notes project construction schedules, if applicable • Interprets construction specifications; where necessary, discusses interpretations with team salesperson, customers or the architect • Reads building plans and identifies applicable portions with Cook & Boardman involvement • Summarizes door opening and other applicable portions of plans by type • Compares actual and estimated materials on completion of each project • Enters applicable information in to Comsense system and prices job based on computer cost files • Responsible for complete door and hardware takeoffs and costing all parts and scope of work • All other duties as assigned

• Lead estimating activities for complex Federal construction projects from bid solicitation through project turnover. • Interpret drawings, specifications, addenda, and contract requirements to develop complete door, frame, hardware, Division 10, and related specialty system estimates. • Review project documents to identify and mitigate specification gaps, compliance requirements, constructability concerns, procurement challenges and execution risks. • Develop labor, material, and procurement strategies that support competitive, executable project delivery. • Coordinate with General Contractors, manufacturers, Operations, Procurement, Detailing, Sales, and Project Management throughout the estimating process. • Develop estimates utilizing Comsense and manufacturer pricing while maintaining estimate accuracy and documentation. • Support compliance with Federal contract requirements, including Buy America, Trade Agreements Act (TAA), Davis-Bacon, FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements. • Lead pre-award and post-award turnover meetings to ensure complete communication of project scope, assumptions, pricing, and contractual obligations. • Compare estimated versus actual project performance to support continuous improvement. • Perform other duties as assigned.
