• Mentor and grow engineers of all levels, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. • Bridge the gap between company needs and team execution by maintaining and updating the tools, talents, and skills the team needs to drive future studio-wide engineering growth. • Maintain the ability to contribute high-quality code as an individual contributor on assigned projects. • Champion code quality by setting engineering standards and performing insightful code reviews that serve as teaching moments for the team. • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, conducting regular 1:1s to provide them with actionable feedback to promote career progression.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline; or relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in teaching technical concepts or mentoring in technical fields
  • Experience evaluating reports in periodic performance reviews and providing clear and actionable feedback
  • 5+ years experience software engineering in the game industry
  • 3+ years experience as a team lead or people manager
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese
  • Must have experience with C++ and C#
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
