Systems Architect

• Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Architect at GDIT. • Tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of clients. • Lead/facilitate solutioning discussions with the customer and vendor. • Identify system interface requirements and develop solutions to meet the requirements, including creation of technical architecture diagrams. • Ensure technical teams understand short term and long-term goals of the program and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. • Work with business units to understand long-term system vision and create technical implementation strategy. • Clarify requirements and propose solutions that meet business milestones and direct technical implementations. • Engage current customers to understand critical needs and advise on strategies to achieve desired results. • Identify and select the best technical solutions. • Lead solution design and development of key artifacts including architectural models and process diagrams. • Help diagnose larger system issues and work with project managers to complete projects on time. • Determine high-level and detailed estimates, creating technical workflows to help drive implementation of large enterprise systems.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software or related degree)
  • 15+ years of technical leadership experience
  • Track record of leading and managing successful application modernization implementations, particularly mainframe to web/mobile environments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (both technical and non-technical)
  • Deep experience in developing and managing workflows, user interfaces, decision rules, and data models.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodology
  • Experience and/or certification in Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Experience with UI/UX and mobile development
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Role Description The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is seeking a dedicated Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who is committed to understanding business needs and turning them into clear, actionable system requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with end-users, technical teams, and vendors to analyze processes, document requirements, test system functionality, and support applications across the organization. Role Description In this role for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Administrator you will be responsible for the system administration needs of multiple utility SCADA systems at water and wastewater treatment facilities and their associated collection and distribution systems. You will coordinate and execute system updates, upgrades, and network communications across the utility industrial network. You will also coordinate with the Pierce County IT Department to ensure updates across the business and industrial networks are completed without service interruption. Keeping the water and wastewater systems working for Pierce County residents is what this role is all about. Core Daily Responsibilities - Administer and support utility wide SCADA system operation for the County’s wastewater treatment facilities, water systems, and collection system. - Manage SCADA System expansions/updates/upgrades and coordinate SCADA network communications. - Collaborate with engineers and system integrators on existing SCADA system needs as well as new design requirements. - HMI/SCADA programming/design. - Understand the diverse array of protocols utilized for transmitting, collecting, storing, and managing data within SCADA ecosystems. - Provide troubleshooting and technical support to ensure technology adheres to system development methodology and policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. - Perform emergency response and triage for Plant operations for all SCADA systems. - Maintain up to date documentation for technical processes, procedures, and training materials for applications, databases, and systems. - Work cross-functionally and effectively with the County’s IT Department to ensure SCADA integrity and continuous operation of the utility industrial networks.
