Role Description Be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low voltage control sub-systems (i.e., lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements. - Accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs. - Develop complex software programs, commissioning and solving to ensure proper operations of the building control system. - Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team and subcontractors. How will you do it: - Design and configure technically complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents. - Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required. - Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the project requirements' intent. - Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation. - Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects. - Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule. - Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. - Assist in validation of complete system functionality and solve problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. - Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software. - Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. - Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system. - Participate in the release meeting with project field team. - Perform value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction. - May provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants. - Adhere to safety standards with a high degree of employee and subcontractor safety. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 3 years' experience. - Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry. - Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems. - Experience with JCI software programming. - Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e., LON, BACnet, etc.). - Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience. - Demonstrated advanced computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools. - Ability to travel regularly. Role Description CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CSfC Systems Engineer to provide expert-level technical design support for Archon's Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program customers across all portfolios. As a technology leader, you will be working hands-on with a world-class engineering team to develop innovative solutions that enable advanced computing and communications functions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, high-performance systems and network architectures that meet the stringent security requirements of classified systems. You will leverage your deep knowledge of CSfC principles, protocols, and technologies to develop solutions that are both effective and compliant with government regulations. - Design and configure complex system and network architectures that meet the specific requirements of warfighter operations. - Serve as the highest tier escalation point for advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of CSfC solutions. - Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of system issues and recommend effective mitigation strategies. - Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, integration, and implementation of complex system solutions. - Provide expert-level engineering guidance in the implementation of system specifications, design, integration, testing, and documentation. - Leverage automation technologies, such as Ansible, to create repeatable and idempotent tasks for engineering work. - Utilize existing DevSecOps pipelines for publishing work and contribute to merge requests and peer reviews. - Author, manage, and maintain written technical materials. - Provide subject matter expertise and interact regularly with the Design and Architecture team.
