Qualifications - 8+ years administering production databases. - Expert PostgreSQL administration. - Expert Microsoft SQL Server administration. - Advanced SQL, T-SQL, and PL/pgSQL. - Deep experience with execution plan analysis and performance tuning. - Proven experience leading zero-downtime production migrations. - Strong HA/DR, replication, backup, and recovery expertise. - Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, or equivalent cloud database platforms. - Strong security, encryption, auditing, and least-privilege practices. - Excellent written communication. Requirements - Own production performance across PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. - Diagnose and resolve execution plan, indexing, locking, blocking, and query performance issues. - Design and operate high availability, replication, failover, and disaster recovery strategies. - Lead zero-downtime schema changes and production database migrations. - Execute large-scale data migrations and backfills using safe, verifiable processes. - Maintain secure database access, encryption, auditing, and governance practices. - Build monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning processes. - Support reporting, analytics, and warehouse performance. - Continuously improve database reliability, safety, and operational excellence. • Fulfil day-to-day client and CSM requests that require direct updates and interventions within the database environment • Cleanse and prepare large volumes of client data, ensuring consistency, validity, and readiness for system integration • Maintain and update key driver records, including additions, deletions and modifications • Reformat and align incoming datasets to match internal outline and spreadsheet structures, ensuring compliance with expected formatting protocols • Plumb in eLearning modules and translations content into VRM system, ensuring accurate data linkage and accessibility • Produce monthly analytics reports for CSMs • Monitor and troubleshoot cron jobs, addressing failures to ensure critical scripts and automations run successfully and on time • Run data refreshes for clients across weekly, monthly and ad hoc cycles based on unique and customized client specifications • Diagnose and resolve low level database issues, conduct routine backups, maintain database security, address potential data breach exposures, configure environments and perform core file maintenance • Apply client specific Privacy Notices • Manage duplicate override requests sent by the MVR team
