Role Description We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security SME to join our growing team. As a contributor to our growth team, you will be at the epicenter of emerging cloud computing technologies, helping to establish a foundation that will evolve to include multiple agencies. The individual in this role will help create security postures, specific to a cloud environment. Role Description Would you like to help organizations secure the APIs, AI applications, and agentic systems that power modern business? Are you excited about turning hands-on security expertise into credible technical content, demonstrations, and product marketing programs? As APIs and AI agents transform how digital experiences and business processes are built, they also expand the attack surface and introduce new security risks. This role helps customers, partners, and internal teams understand and evaluate Akamai's API, AI, and agentic security solutions through technically credible demonstrations, content, enablement, and thought leadership. By building and operating products in practical environments, you will help showcase how Akamai protects modern applications, APIs, and agent-driven interactions. As the technical voice of the Security Product Marketing team, you will: - Develop implementation-level expertise in Akamai's API Security portfolio and emerging AI and agent security capabilities. - Work across Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Solution Engineering to translate hands-on product knowledge into clear technical positioning, proof, demonstrations, and reusable assets. - Provide the technical depth, evidence, validation, and demonstrations that make product narratives, launches, campaigns, and sales programs credible with technical buyers. Compensation Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
