Role Description Responsible for supporting the process for the strategy and evaluation of market and business opportunities including but not limited to acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and partnerships while also supporting Workiva’s investor relations program. - Work closely with the SVP Corporate Development & Investor Relations, Senior Director of Investor Relations and executives across functions. - Assist with market and product strategy initiatives. - Work with the S&M teams to assess new markets and define the size and scope of addressable markets. - Support the CFO team in assessment and opportunities for capital structure, and effective capital deployment including share repurchase and debt financing. - Work with key stakeholders to continuously monitor the KPI’s to track performance of strategic initiatives. - Conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective. - Engage in strategy and corporate development processes to assess and evaluate new markets and M&A targets. - Support the solution teams process to identify potential acquisition targets and partnerships that align with the company’s strategic goals. - Conduct due diligence on potential targets, including financial analysis, valuation, market assessment, and integration planning. - Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information, and create compelling market analysis presentations. - Support the Sr. Director of IR to maintain relationships with investors - this includes new investors and existing shareholder base. - Lead the process of writing CFO’s script for the quarterly earnings call. - Lead the process of building CFO’s section of Investor Day slide deck. - Manage the process and analysis of peer public companies. - Exhibit strong public presentation skills for both internal and external audiences. - Create investor-related communications for calls, conferences, and roadshows. - Support the Sr Director of IR in the planning and preparing materials for Investor Day, including managing the overall process and developing presenter scripts and slides. 100% Telecommuting. Up to 30% domestic and international travel for Investor Conferences and Non-Deal Roadshows (investor meetings). Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or related occupation/job title/role. - Alternatively, Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or related occupation/job title/role. Requirements - 5 years of experience in investment research/sales, investor relations and/or financial analysis for a publicly traded company. - 5 years of experience with financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance. - 3 years of experience analyzing financial metrics and operations for a global SaaS company, including headcount, billings, bookings to revenue, revenue retention and churn. - 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders on strategic initiatives. - 3 years supporting acquisitions in evaluation, transaction and integration process for a SaaS company focused on the office of the CFO. - 4 years using financial analysis and research tools like Capital IQ or Alphasense.
