• You will join the team responsible for Grupo Boticário’s logistics platform, supporting and evolving systems that handle millions of orders. • We are looking for a professional who masters the Java/Kotlin ecosystem and who has already integrated AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor) into their workflow to accelerate code writing, test creation and documentation, while maintaining technical rigor and critical analysis. • Development and Maintenance: Implement robust solutions in Java/Spring Boot for synchronous and asynchronous processes. • AI Productivity: Use AI assistants to accelerate boilerplate generation, code refactoring and creation of test data sets. • Software Quality: Define scenarios for unit and integration tests, auditing and technically validating automation code generated by AI. • Collaboration: Actively participate in agile rituals (Scrum/Kanban) and contribute to code reviews focused on best practices. • Problem Solving: Investigate bugs and performance bottlenecks in microservices using telemetry and logs for root-cause analysis. • Promote and contribute to technical and functional refinements; • Implement integration solutions using CI/CD and GitHub; • Assess integration risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring the security, availability and reliability of integrated systems; • Design and structure code efficiently and sustainably to facilitate maintenance and future scaling; • Contribute to the team, ensuring adherence to development standards and recommended practices; • Promote a culture of business and technical monitoring; • Maintain, improve and review existing code through Code Review and Pair Programming; • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to developing cloud solutions on AWS; • Participate in technical decisions, proposing architectural improvements and security best practices; • Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.

• Designing and building the real-time notification platform that delivers low-latency alerts and account updates to traders and internal systems • Building and operating Kafka/MSK streaming pipelines that ingest live trading data from multiple upstream systems • Designing scalable event-driven architectures with durable messaging, replay capabilities, and optimized partitioning strategies • Developing stateful stream processing applications that support risk detection, fraud monitoring, and market integrity initiatives • Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL and time-series database schemas for both operational workloads and historical analytics • Building and evolving production-grade .NET Core APIs that support trading, risk, and fraud systems • Defining service reliability standards, monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure highly available systems • Driving architecture decisions across the engineering organization while mentoring senior engineers and contributing hands-on to implementation • Partnering closely with engineering leadership to establish technical standards and long-term platform strategy

Role Description We’re looking for a backend engineer passionate about building robust and scalable systems, excited about working with modern cloud technologies and distributed systems to power our Document Engine and SaaS products. You find satisfaction in architecting high-performance solutions, optimising system reliability, caring for the cloud infrastructure our products run on, and creating efficient backend services that handle complex document processing workflows at scale. What You'll Work On - Execute on the design and implementation of high-performance Elixir/Phoenix-based systems such as Nutrient's Document Engine and Web Services API. - Design and build declarative infrastructure, robust, scalable and easy to observe and maintain (we are currently using Terraform, Terramate and FluxCD on Kubernetes, with Helm charts powering both our managed cloud and customer self-hosted deployments). - Operate and evolve our managed cloud platform: cluster lifecycle and upgrades, GitOps workflows, observability, and database operations, keeping it reliable, secure, and cost-efficient. - Share ownership for architecture, tools and services, contribute to product development and customer success. - Collaborate closely with a small, remote-first engineering team to ship features, debug hard problems, and continuously improve reliability. - Meet in person with the team periodically to align and reflect.
