Communications Assistant

• Develop and implement corporate communication strategies aligned with business goals. • Draft, edit, and distribute internal communications including executive messages, newsletters, intranet content, and organizational announcements. • Create external communications such as press releases, media statements, thought leadership articles, and corporate reports. • Manage media relations and respond to press inquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Support crisis communication planning and execution. • Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all communication platforms. • Monitor media coverage and industry trends; prepare reports and performance metrics. • Coordinate with marketing and digital teams to manage website content and social media messaging. • Assist with corporate events, leadership communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. • Maintain and update communication guidelines and templates.

Job Requirements

  • High School degree and can demonstrate requisite knowledge
  • 2-5 years of experience in communications or marketing
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks as needed
  • Ability to identity, draft and distribute relevant content consistent with TSTC brand and messaging parameters.
  • Ability to develop and implement ‘out of the box’ communication strategies
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Canva, and other design tools.
