Qualifications - 5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure; strong preference for substantial HV experience in the Australian market. - Proven design background, able to produce and own electrical designs, not only review others' work. - Strong infrastructure delivery experience across utility-scale solar, BESS, or grid-connected assets in Australia. - Deep understanding of electrical systems, substations, protection, and power distribution design (generation and demand). - Working knowledge of Australian grid standards, including AEMO technical requirements, DNSP connection standards, the National Electricity Rules, and AS/NZS electrical standards, with the ability to interpret electrical studies. - Commissioning, testing, and energisation experience on HV infrastructure in the Australian context. - Critical eye for reviewing consultant and subcontractor designs; strong grasp of Australian safety frameworks including the Electricity Safety Act, state-based electrical licensing requirements, and relevant codes of practice.
