PDM Implementation Data Architect
Availity
• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data architectures supporting complex client implementations. • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple systems and platforms. • Architect and document source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data lineage across heterogeneous data models. • Ensure data solutions align with scalability, performance, security, and governance best practices. • Serve as the primary data architecture lead during client onboarding and implementation engagements. • Facilitate client workshops, discovery sessions, and data mapping reviews. • Present architecture designs, data flows, and implementation strategies to technical and non-technical client audiences. • Act as a trusted technical advisor, clearly articulating design options, trade-offs, and recommendations. • Design and implement cloud-native data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). • Leverage AWS services such as S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, and related components to build scalable data pipelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in technology, data architecture, information exchange, and/or the healthcare domain.
- 5+ years of experience leading or architecting complex client implementations and data onboarding initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior data architecture or lead data engineering role.
- Proven experience working directly with external clients in a consultative, client-facing capacity.
- Expert knowledge of data modeling and cross-model data mapping.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and enterprise databases (Oracle, MySQL, Aurora, Redshift, or equivalent).
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms.
- Experience with big data and analytics technologies (Spark, Spark SQL, Scala or PySpark).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and API integration tools such as Postman.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365 tools.

Target Salary Range $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position.
