Job Description

Manager, Ethics & Compliance – Financial Examinations

Centene Corporation Group

• Manage and implement strategies to ensure successful responses to inquiries from state insurance financial examiners across the entire company • Work with internal and external stakeholders to establish relationships and ensure timely responses to examination requests • Serve as a subject matter expert within the External Audit team on financial examinations • Maintain archive of prior examination responses and company contacts that can be readily retrieved and updated • Develop, implement and maintain production and quality standards for the compliance program • Manage analysts tracking multiple examinations and audits across all of Centene’s licensed insurers • Evaluate and implement changes to team functions and performance in relation to company mission, philosophy objectives and policies • Plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of policy decisions and ensure compliance with the company’s strategic plan

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred
  • 4+ years of compliance experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • At least 2+ years of Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial Managed Care experience
  • Previous experience demonstrating effective interaction with federal and state regulatory agencies in a managed care or insurance environment preferred
  • Prior experience with financial examinations conducted by state departments of insurance
  • Familiarity with National Association of Insurance Commissioners standards and procedures for financial examinations preferred
