Lead Engineer, Transient Analyses
General Electric - GE
• Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses • Deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines • Interface with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds • Direct customer-facing opportunities through training, deliverables, and collaboration • Create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations • Perform technical verification of engineering technical deliverables • Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring • Communicate and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions • Implement continual improvement of transient analysis work processes
Job Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
- At least 4 years of relevant nuclear experience
- Reactor Engineering Experience
- Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes
- Background in power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics
- Possess fundamental knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response
- Ability to communicate with credibility and humility
