Mollica IT

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Scala; • Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation and analysis pipelines; • Develop solutions using functional programming with FS2 and cats-effect; • Work with data serialization and deserialization using Circe; • Operate with AWS and Google Cloud Platform services, including Amazon S3, AWS STS, BigQuery, Dataflow and Pub/Sub; • Develop and optimize SQL queries and PostgreSQL databases; • Troubleshoot distributed applications and cloud environments; • Create and run unit, integration and component tests; • Contribute to the observability, reliability and performance of applications; • Work in an agile environment using Git; • Other routine tasks related to the area.

Job Requirements

  • Experience developing scalable backend applications using Scala;
  • Knowledge of functional programming and Scala best practices;
  • Experience with sbt;
  • Experience with Circe;
  • Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  • Knowledge of IAM, STS, AssumeRole and WebIdentity;
  • Experience with the AWS SDK, especially Amazon S3 and AWS STS;
  • Experience with Google BigQuery, Google Dataflow and Google Pub/Sub;
  • Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL;
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines;
  • Experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming using FS2 and cats-effect;
  • Experience troubleshooting distributed applications;
  • Experience with unit, integration and component testing;
  • Experience with Git and agile methodologies;

Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend-Leaning Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our Financial Data Experience Team.
