Job Description

DC Program Adjunct Instructor

The Community Solution Education System

• Prepares lessons and teaches procedures based on existing syllabus • Demonstrates and monitors student practice of proper skills technique and patient interactions (as applicable) • Compiles, administers, and grades examinations • Maintains a safe environment in the classroom • Creates syllabi and course outline • Contributes to evaluations of students’ non-cognitive behavior • Maintains expertise in area of instruction

Job Requirements

  • Prior teaching experience in a university or professional education program
  • Graduate of a CCE-accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program
  • Maintain an active license to practice as a chiropractic physician in the state of Oregon (or acquire such licensure shortly after hire)
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to access current electronic information
  • Sufficient stamina to provide lecture and/or lab instruction with brief breaks over a 1 to 4-hour period
  • Sufficient mobility to move among students engaged in various types of lab activities
  • Sufficient visual acuity to accurately identify pertinent structures and/or details as instructional activities demand
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate pertinent tools and/or equipment as instructional activities demand
  • Expertise in evidence-informed practice skills preferred
