Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern
Harmonic Inc.
Role Description We are currently seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern to join our Information Security team, working remotely (U.S.-based). This is a full-time, 3-month internship with the option to extend by an additional 3 months. The intern will help lay the groundwork for an eventual ISO 27001 certification and gain hands-on exposure to enterprise security governance practices. What you will be doing: - Supports the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification. - Performs risk assessments. - Documents risk treatments and associated follow-up actions. - Generates governance-related dashboards for executive team leaders. - Assists with security policy formulation and document management. - Gathers security control evidence and associated records. - Supports management and setup of the governance SaaS platform. - Performs various other duties as required. Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, or a related field. - Familiarity with basic security or risk-management concepts (coursework or project experience is acceptable). - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for documentation and evidence tracking. - Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team. - Good communication skills, comfortable in presenting to groups of stakeholders and following up on requests. - Comfortable using Microsoft 365 suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Benefits - For this role, the estimated hourly rate is between $18 and $20. The actual rate will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
