This is a specialized overlay role focused on the intersection of Platform Engineering, Kubernetes (K8s), and Multi-cloud strategy. You will partner with our Global Sales and Customer Success teams to help organizations navigate the complexities of "day-2" operations in containerized environments, ensuring they achieve full-stack observability across dynamic, ephemeral architectures. Core Responsibilities 1. Cloud Native Domian Expertise: - Act as the technical "Subject Matter Expert" (SME) for all things Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift) and container orchestration. - Demonstrate how Dynatrace provides automated, code-level visibility into microservices without manual instrumentation or sidecar overhead. - Advocate for OpenTelemetry (OTel) integration and explain how Dynatrace extends the value of open-source telemetry in a production-grade environment. 2. Domain Execution: - Lead technical discovery and high-stakes Proof of Concepts (POCs) specifically targeting "Born-in-the-Cloud" accounts or legacy enterprises undergoing digital transformation. - Build "Cloud-Native ROI" models, illustrating how automated observability reduces "Kubernetes Tax" (the operational overhead of managing K8s at scale). - Support the sales team in positioning Dynatrace against niche cloud-native tools by highlighting our AI-driven root cause analysis. 3. Platform Engineering & SRE Alignment:Design observability-as-code strategies using Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane. - Consult with customer Platform Teams to integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions) and "GitOps" workflows (ArgoCD, Flux). - Help customers implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets within their cloud-native stacks to drive SRE maturity. 4. Ecosystem Advocacy: - Stay at the forefront of the CNCF landscape, including Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd), Serverless (AWS Lambda, Fargate), and eBPF technologies. - Conduct "Cloud Native Maturity" workshops focused on automated scaling, pod-level resource optimization, and cost-aware infrastructure management. What will help you succeedQualifications & Requirements - Experience: 5+ years in a technical pre-sales, DevOps, or SRE role, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Kubernetes and containerized workloads. - Technical Depth: * Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Application Developer (CKAD) preferred. - Deep understanding of container runtimes, ingress controllers, and service discovery. - Hands-on experience with Service Mesh architectures and sidecar patterns. - Cloud Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a focus on their managed Kubernetes and Serverless offerings. - Automation & Code: Proficiency in Terraform, Helm, and YAML. Ability to read/write code in Go, Java, or Node.js to assist with microservices troubleshooting. - Business Acumen: Ability to explain the business impact of "MTTR" and "Deployment Frequency" to executive stakeholders. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Skills - Experience with eBPF-based monitoring tools. - Familiarity with FinOps principles (matching cloud spend to container performance). - Active participation in the CNCF community or open-source projects. Compensation and Rewards

• Own the technical integrity of Coalfire’s FedRAMP reference architectures and capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and across certification levels. • Set the engineering standards delivery teams build against—architecture patterns, security baselines, automation frameworks, and evidence-collection approaches. • Review and approve custom architecture decisions when client requirements fall outside the standard; promote recurring customizations into the reference architecture so the standard improves every quarter. • Serve as a technical escalation point for delivery teams on architecture and security design questions to improve client outcomes. • Keep reference architectures current with evolving FedRAMP requirements, including machine-readable compliance packaging (OSCAL or JSON) and continuous-monitoring mandates. • Mentor engagement architects and senior engineers; raise the technical bar across the delivery organization. • Partner with the sales organization on solution shape for the most strategic pursuits. • Represent Coalfire’s technical point of view in the FedRAMP community—working groups, public comment, and industry forums.

• Own client engagements end-to-end: from contract signature through environment build, control implementation, automated evidence pipelines, and handoff to managed operations. • Instantiate Coalfire’s reference architecture for the contracted certification level and cloud platform, adapting it to the client’s application and boundary. • Lead implementation of security controls and the automation that continuously validates them—the evidence a modern FedRAMP certification runs on. • Coordinate Coalfire’s engineering teams as they deploy their capabilities (identity, monitoring, change management, and more) into your engagement. • Drive the build through defined quality gates, with a clean, measurable transition to operations—every in-scope control implemented, validated, and stable. • Serve as the client’s primary technical counterpart: run technical working sessions, manage milestones and risks, and keep scope honest. • Document architecture decisions and feed lessons from each build back into Coalfire’s standards.

• Design and implement the security capabilities that satisfy FedRAMP’s Key Security Indicators (KSIs) within your team’s specialty domains. • Build the Security Decision Record (SDR) automation that deploys those capabilities repeatably across many client environments—infrastructure-as-code, pipelines, and configuration baselines, not one-off builds. • Develop automated validation and continuous-monitoring evidence for each capability, so the certified state is provable every day. • Deploy into client environments as the subject-matter expert for your domain: land the capability, integrate it with the client’s stack, troubleshoot, and harden. • Bring lessons from every deployment back to your team, improving the standard implementation for the next client. • Mentor junior team members by reviewing their work, sharing best practices, and guiding them through troubleshooting and operational standards. • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and machine-readable compliance artifacts. • Support both new FedRAMP environment builds and the modernization of existing ones. • Author and peer review detailed design and security documentation, inclusive of vendor best practices.
