Head Start Project Manager

• Oversee and manage delivery of professional, technical and administrative support for Head Start and Early Head Start grant recipients. • Manage interactions with the Client and client relationships. • Ensure staff provide reliable, high quality information and records management, • Lead and manage a team of 5 people and plan, execute, monitor and improve the work and related processes. • Prepare Monthly Status Reports and Task Summary Reports as required by the Client. • Ensure compliance with program and fiscal requirements of discretionary grants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in management, business administration, public administration or related field from an accredited university or college; Master’s Degree is a plus, but not required.
- 10+ years of relevant and progressive professional experience managing client services projects of size, scope and complexity
- At least 6 years of progressive supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in budget oversight and management.
- Experience implementing quality assurance systems that improve client services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with web-based systems, databases and tracking systems.

The Practice Lead will manage and develop Avec's Project Managers, own the PM/PMO methodology, support sales and solution shaping, govern the active portfolio and personally lead billable delivery work where required. Qualifications - 10+ years' experience in ICT consulting, project delivery, program delivery or PMO leadership, with prior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred. - Experience leading teams of at least 10 people, ideally across a project management, PMO, delivery or consulting practice environment. - Strong practical experience managing large mixed portfolios across agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery models. - Experience with fixed-price, outcomes-based or at-risk delivery, including estimating, pricing, project finance, budget control and commercial review. - Strong financial acumen, including practice P&L, utilisation, forecasting, timesheet discipline, revenue recognition and project margin management. - Credibility interacting with senior client stakeholders, including executives, CIOs, Program Directors and client sponsors. - Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum Master, MSP, SAFe or equivalent are highly regarded but not mandatory.
