Counsel, Litigation

• Support and manage an active docket of disputes and litigation matters, including developing and executing case strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders. • Represent the company in smaller litigation matters, including regulatory inquiries, subpoenas, and other third-party requests for information. • Manage outside counsel for more complex litigation matters, including providing strategic guidance and thought leadership, case management, and coordinating internally with business teams to gather relevant information. • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on litigation-related matters, including risk assessments, proactive solutions, and mitigation strategies. • Support the development and implementation of the company’s discovery and litigation hold processes. • Provide guidance and updates to management on litigation matters in coordination with the Senior Litigation Counsel. • Maintain effective communication with insurance carriers and other third parties.

Job Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience at a top law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including top-notch litigation drafting skills.
  • Experience managing and resolving litigation matters.
  • Ability to think quickly and manage a complex workload with shifting priorities while meeting tight internal and external deadlines.
  • Resourceful self-starter, team-oriented mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong negotiation skills, excellent judgment, and clear communication.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
