Alongside managing AI agents, you'll also execute strategic manual outbound outreach where automation isn't possible, making this a unique blend of traditional SDR work and AI operations. Responsibilities - AI Agent Management & Optimization (60–75%) - Manage and continuously optimize a team of AI SDR agents responsible for outbound prospecting. - Review agent performance and analyze outreach effectiveness, including email messaging, subject lines, response rates, and meeting conversion. - Train AI agents by reinforcing successful outreach patterns and refining prompts and workflows based on performance data. - Partner closely with AI and engineering teams to improve agent behavior and outbound effectiveness. - Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve meeting generation and pipeline creation. - Sales Development - Execute personalized outbound prospecting through LinkedIn and other channels where manual outreach is required. - Build prospect lists and execute multi-touch outbound campaigns using modern sequencing platforms. - Craft compelling outreach messaging that resonates with healthcare and pharmaceutical decision-makers. - Meet and exceed meeting generation goals through both AI-generated and manual outreach efforts. - Continuous Improvement - Experiment with new outbound strategies, messaging, and AI workflows. - Provide constructive feedback on existing processes and recommend improvements. - Help shape the future evolution of Impiricus' AI-powered sales organization. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or outbound prospecting. - Proven success generating qualified meetings through outbound sales. - Experience using sales engagement platforms and sequencing tools such as Outreach.io, Salesloft, Apollo, HubSpot Sequences, or similar. - Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude and enthusiasm for leveraging AI to improve workflows. - Strong understanding of outbound email strategy, messaging, personalization, and sales best practices. - Excellent written communication skills with the ability to evaluate and improve outreach content. - Self-starter who works independently, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications - Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences experience. - Experience working with HubSpot CRM. - Experience using Clay or similar prospecting and data enrichment tools. - Exposure to prompt engineering, AI workflow optimization, or AI agent management. Compensation and Benefits - The base salary range for this role is $85,000-$105,000. - Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth. Benefits - Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents + on-demand healthcare concierge. - HSA, FSA & DCFSA: Pre-tax savings options for healthcare and dependent care, with monthly employer contributions to HSA (if enrolled in a high-deductible plan). - Coverage & Protection: 100% paid short- and long-term disability, plus life and AD&D insurance. - Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need with a flexible vacation policy — recharge your batteries your way. - Parental Leave: 12 weeks of paid leave to spend time with your newborn, adopted, or foster child (available after 6 months). - Your Work, Your Way: If you’re close to an office, we encourage spending some time in-person to collaborate and connect. Role Description Your primary focus is sales. You will pursue fiber optic construction opportunities on both the U.S. and Canadian sides of the market, target U.S. and international customers for dark fiber IRUs on our Alberta, Canada network and for network construction, and sell turnkey site, space, and power solutions in Canada. You will report directly to the CEO. What You Will Do - Originate, negotiate, and close dark fiber IRU, conduit, and Layer 2 services agreements on our Alberta, Canada network with U.S. and international customers - Develop and win fiber optic construction opportunities in both the U.S. and Canadian markets, including long-haul fiber builds serving the data center and edge compute verticals across the Lower 48 and Alaska - Pursue renewable energy project construction opportunities in the Lower 48, leveraging our active U.S. energy construction operations - Sell turnkey site, space, and power solutions in Canada for edge compute and data center deployments, coordinating our fiber, energy, and construction capabilities into a unified offer - Develop and maintain relationships with hyperscaler network sourcing and infrastructure procurement teams, data center developers, edge compute providers, and carrier wholesale groups - Structure anchor-tenant-funded route expansions: identify demand for new routes, and package prepaid IRU commitments that fund construction - Qualify and develop opportunities for U.S. data center operators evaluating Alberta for future capacity - Represent the company at key industry events (PTC, Metro Connect USA, ITW, DCD>Connect, Data Centre West, and regional data center conferences), including pre-booked meeting programs - Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline and forecast in CRM; provide market intelligence on pricing, competitive routes, and demand trends - Work closely with our Alberta-based engineering, construction, and executive teams on solution design, route feasibility, and proposal development - Support contract negotiation through execution, working with legal counsel on IRU, FRA, construction, and services agreements Qualifications - 8+ years of business development or sales experience in dark fiber, wholesale connectivity, data center development, or digital infrastructure construction, with a verifiable record of closed transactions - Existing, active relationships with hyperscaler network sourcing teams, data center operators, and/or carrier wholesale buyers - Fluency in route economics, IRU deal structures, conduit and construction fundamentals, and the data center site-selection process - Working knowledge of data center power, site development, and edge compute requirements — enough to credibly scope a turnkey opportunity - Demonstrated ability to run long sales cycles (12–24 months) independently from a home office as part of a small, entrepreneurial team - Strong negotiation and written communication skills; comfort presenting to C-level and procurement audiences - Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. and to Alberta, Canada - Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Nice to Have - Experience with cross-border (U.S.– Canada) network routes or transactions - Familiarity with power markets, energy infrastructure, or the intersection of generation and data center development - Existing knowledge of the Western Canadian or Pacific Northwest connectivity landscape - Experience at a dark fiber operator (e.g., Zayo, Lumen, Crown Castle Fiber, or similar), a data center developer, or a hyperscaler network team Why This Role - Ground-floor commercial leadership in a group that owns its network and its construction capacity — no waiting on third parties to build what you sell - A rare mandate spanning fiber, construction, and turnkey power — multiple ways to win with every customer - Direct access to ownership; decisions in days, not quarters - A defensible position in a market with a structural advantage: Alberta has the power U.S. markets are running out of - Uncapped commission on high-value infrastructure transactions Location - Remote, United States — strong preference for Seattle/Puget Sound or Denver metro Travel - Approximately 30–40% (customer sites, industry conferences, and periodic visits to Alberta, Canada)
