Job Description

Strategic Pricing Analyst

WM

• Analyzes basic financial, statistical, and competitor price data and recommends price changes to improve profitability • Implements and maintains pricing infrastructures • Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed • Recommends and implements monthly price increases and coordinates with Sales and Billing for implementation • Collects and analyzes financial, statistical, and strategic information in order to maintain pricing tools • Creates and analyzes reports for customer and route profitability • Audits billing and services to monitor customer changes and set ups • Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales department

Job Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or similar area of study
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years previous experience
  • 2 years previous relevant experience (in addition to education requirements)
  • Education equivalent to Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in Accounting/Finance, or Business or the equivalent in related work experience
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in pricing, financial analysis, or similar experience
  • Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) tools preferred
  • Excellent math skills and strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of contracting
  • Excellent communication skills
