Description We are seeking a talented and experienced motivated Frontend Software Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our users. Asking questions, failing fast, and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team. - Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications - Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences - Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support - Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing - Other duties as assigned This position allows for partial telework. Clearance Must currently have and maintain an active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Experience Five (5) years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; or three (3) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience. Required skills: - Five plus (5+) years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency - Familiarity with Git or other version control software - JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review - Defining and interacting with REST based API’s - Comfortable working on a *nix command line - Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly - Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed - Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2-3 days per week at our Columbia, MD office or Ft. Meade onsite. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 - $275,000. • Build durable systems. Design and implement Java services, Temporal workflows, and Kafka-based event pipelines, and help clients adopt durable execution and event streaming the right way — from first workflow to production scale. • Lead modernization efforts. Plan and execute large-scale modernization efforts — moving workflows, services, and data between platforms, clusters, and clouds — with safety, observability, and minimal disruption as first-class requirements. • Own the platform. Build and operate Kubernetes-native infrastructure and CI/CD on AWS so application teams can ship safely and quickly. • Treat reliability, observability, and repeatability as part of the deliverable, not an afterthought. • Consult with clients to build outcome-driven applications and platforms, guiding them through the process, identifying potential problems and unknowns, and tackling challenges. • Travel on average of 3–5 days every quarter, while most work is remote. • Teach and discuss opportunities for training, planning, and running meetups or local groups, and create various kinds of content in your expertise.

• Design and maintain enterprise databases, including stored procedures, indexing, views, SQL scripts, and database objects. • Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows using SSIS, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server. • Build data ingestion and transformation workflows across raw, staging, curated, and analytics data layers. • Develop and optimize SQL scripts and stored procedures for data conversion, validation, and ongoing processing. • Execute large-scale data migration projects, including data cleansing, validation, and transformation across enterprise systems. • Design and implement logical and physical data models (ERDs). • Develop database components supporting transactional and reporting systems. • Build and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL Server database performance. • Provide production support, including troubleshooting performance issues and participating in on-call support when needed. • Collaborate with developers, business users, QA teams, and project stakeholders. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, development activities, code reviews, testing, and release cycles. • Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
