Job Requirements
- 2–5 years' experience in business development, sales, channel management, account management, or a similar commercial role.
- Experience within ICT, technology, cloud, software, cybersecurity, or distribution environments is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience working towards sales, revenue, or activity-based targets and achieving business growth outcomes.
- Strong communication, presentation, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred; relevant vendor certifications are advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities - Makes outbound calls to non-producing and new-to-Ama travel advisors to introduce AmaWaterways' products, programs, and booking process. - Engages new-to-river travel advisors, educating them on AmaWaterways' brand, itineraries, and value proposition to build early interest. - Guides advisors from initial engagement through first booking, providing consistent follow-up and removing barriers to a first sale. - Partners with field sales BDMs to align on territory priorities, including identifying revenue generating opportunities and supporting high-volume advisor activation. - Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of advisor interactions, call outcomes, and follow-up status in Salesforce. - Responsible for meeting revenue targets and additional metrics such as call volume, engagement rates, and conversion to first booking. - Encourages advisor participation in AmaAcademy training, connecting advisors to available education resources as part of the activation journey. - Responds promptly to inbound advisor inquiries generated through marketing campaigns, webinars, and trade show leads. - Communicates product updates, promotions, and new initiatives to advisors during outreach calls. - Collaborates with the Director, Sales Activation & Trade Enablement to refine outbound scripts, call strategy, and activation processes based on results. - Attends and supports trade shows, webinars, seminars on the river and other training events as needed. - Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or two to four years of related sales, travel industry, or customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Prior experience in outbound sales, telesales, or an inside sales role strongly preferred. - Travel industry, ocean cruise or river cruise experience strongly preferred. - Computer skills required: Salesforce or comparable CRM/Contact Management Systems; Microsoft Office Suite; Phone Software; Email Marketing Platforms; Reporting Tools. - Excellent phone presence, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. - Competent presentation skills, and willing to speak to a large audience. - Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and a consistent, disciplined follow-up cadence. - Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to stay positive and persistent when advisors are slow to respond or engage. - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a large pipeline of advisor contacts. - Customer service mindset with the ability to build lasting relationships. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based activation model. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking advisor status and follow-up. - Coachable, with a willingness to adapt scripts and approach based on feedback and results.
