Software Engineer II – Middleware
First American (India)
• Develop and support APIs, web services, and middleware components based on business and technical requirements. • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation. • Troubleshoot application and integration issues and support production and non-production environments. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions. • Implement and maintain CI/CD and automation practices. • Support cloud-native deployments pipelines and containerized applications. • Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and performance optimization initiatives. • Monitor application health and assist in incident resolution using standard monitoring and logging tools.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or integration engineering.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
- Understanding of API management concepts, API security, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience with any cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform or similar technologies.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment practices.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.
