Lead Technician
EMCOR Group, Inc.
• Lead Technicians are the tactical leader within the region that they serve. • Their duties include but are not limited to: providing tactical direction, establishing priorities, assigning tasks, coordinating projects, and providing expertise and support technicians at the job site. • Responsible for ensuring technicians perform work safely and are trained in both the technical skill sets and administrative functions. • Expected to apply 95% of their time to billable work orders. • Training New Employees On EMCOR Field Organizational Practices And Procedures. • Serves As Tactical Leader In The Field; Leading, Coaching, Providing Trade Knowledge To Our Technicians. • Observes Workmanship Of Our Technicians Both In The Field Conducting The Task At Hand As Well As Accurately Completing Administrative Functions Associated With The Job. • Assisted Technicians With Complicated/Skilled Work Orders (Where It Makes Sense Geographically). • Serves As Facilities Maintenance Subject Matter Expert. • Follows Through And Completes All Duties Assigned By The Regional Manager.
Job Requirements
- HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc.) or Specialty Floor Care.
- Five or more years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status via our tablet or other designated business process.
- Ability to use and operate tablet device and business systems or document management Database software, including but not limited to Microsoft office, Lotus Notes, MS office (word, Excel).
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulation, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company safety policies at all times.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and refurbish industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment and system components. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Getinge (CASTLE), Steris (AMSCO), Consolidated, Tuttnauer, and others. • Service a range of devices, including autoclaves, rack washers, tunnel washers, bottle fillers, bedding dispensers, blanket warmers, surgical lights, and surgical tables. • Conduct installations and equipment modifications as required. • Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and inventory records in accordance with company standards. • Deliver an exceptional customer experience through proactive communication and dedication to resolving performance issues. • Plan and manage service schedules to ensure timely response and completion of all assignments. • Maintain professional, courteous communication with customers, contractors, and colleagues. • Provide on-site training or demonstrations to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. • Identify and communicate opportunities for equipment upgrades, service contracts, or replacement solutions. • Use company-provided technology (laptop, CRM, service reporting software) to complete and submit service call reports within 24 hours of completion. • Manage personal tools, parts, and inventory efficiently to support field operations. • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and all customer site protocols.
• Travel 100% of the time to customer locations across assigned regions (air and/or road travel required). • Install indoor Bluetooth beacons using 3M adhesive and follow precise placement specifications to ensure optimal performance. • Use an iPad or mobile device to plan installation layouts, register beacons and gateways, and complete digital workflows/documentation. • Install outdoor beacons and related hardware, including mounting equipment in varying environmental conditions. • Safely work on ladders and handle installation tools, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and site requirements. • Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and verify beacon and gateway functionality after installation. • Communicate effectively with customers, onsite contacts, and internal teams regarding project progress and any issues encountered. • Test, validate, and verify installed hardware, software, and system functionality to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with installation standards before project completion.
