Role Description Intertek is searching for a Sr. Manager, Business Development to join our Hardlines team working Remotely based in North America. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand an already successful career in the Hardlines Industry. The Sr. Manager, Business Development is responsible for developing new business opportunities in North America by sourcing new clients and developing new business with existing clients in the Global Hardlines Market, including: - Toys - Baby Items - Kitchenware - Sports - Tools - Home & Garden products An ideal candidate will exude an energetic, optimistic, hard-working, and self-starter mindset. The candidate will have strong experience in partnering with Tier 1 clients, both supporting existing portfolios and prospecting new business. A primary objective is to meet/exceed revenue targets whilst commercially influencing margins. Regular and frequent travel is required to visit clients within North America, and at times must be able to travel internationally if required (very infrequent basis). Shift/Schedule: This is a full-time position. Qualifications - 5+ years of successful sales experience in a relevant industry - HS Diploma or equivalent required - Current and valid driver’s license with reliable driving record is required - Successful candidate must reside in the USA, preferably in the Midwest or Eastern regions - Ability to travel up to 50% domestically, infrequently internationally - as business needs dictate - This position is not eligible for current or future sponsorship - Proven ability to drive revenue growth - Strong experience managing multiple clients and leading by example - Outstanding communication skills, relationship management, and negotiation skills are essential - Demonstrate energetic, optimistic, hard-working and a self-starter mindset at all times - Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines - Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management - Ability to communicate and interact effectively in oral, written, and presentational formats - Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties - Must be customer-focused and quality-driven Requirements - Bachelor’s degree preferred - Prefer experience in toys, retail, or hardline product safety - Retailer account management experience is preferable - Proven experience in creating and implementing strategy for successful sales growth - Strong MS Office skills and CRM experience is preferable Benefits - Base wage or salary range from $85,000.00 to $100,000.00, plus sales incentives - Medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance - 401(k) with company match - Generous vacation / sick time (PTO) - Tuition reimbursement - And more
