• Lead end-to-end instrumentation of metrics (infrastructure and application), structured logs, and distributed tracing, ensuring full visibility across the ecosystem. • Implement, evolve, and manage Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize the user experience. • Define, implement, and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets to support the balance between innovation and stability. • Plan and execute Chaos Engineering experiments to validate failure hypotheses and strengthen the architecture. • Define predictive alerting policies to reduce alert fatigue and accelerate incident response. • Work cross-functionally to support Data Engineering pipelines and microservices architectures (REST APIs) on AWS.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in Datadog for dashboards, monitors, APM, and Log Management.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Proven experience in infrastructure and monitoring automation.
  • Practical knowledge of SRE principles, including incident management, SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.
  • Understanding of distributed systems architecture, high availability (HA), fault tolerance, and resilience.
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Observability experience in Data Engineering, including Big Data pipelines (Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar).
  • Knowledge of SecOps/DevSecOps and observability-driven security.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, CKAD) are a plus.

Role Description Seeking a senior-level DevSecOps Engineer with strong developer experience supporting containerized applications in an AWS cloud environment. Ideal candidate will: - Identify, prove out, test, and implement pipeline process improvements - including utilizing new or existing GitLab or third-party tools or features. - Exhibit excellent customer service skills to educate customers on pipeline functionality and troubleshoot pipeline issues. - Interact with all levels of organizational personnel, from training and mentoring teammates to developing and presenting briefs to leadership.
