Role Description The Principal Salesforce Administrator is a senior, enterprise-level role responsible for the stability, scalability, and strategic evolution of Momentive’s Salesforce Platform ecosystem. This leader will define and own the long-term platform architecture and roadmap, aligning technology strategy with enterprise business objectives while serving as the final technical authority across all platform decisions. The ideal candidate brings advanced Salesforce administration and architecture capabilities, and demonstrated experience owning integration governance, platform standards, and organizational capability development. They will operate with a high degree of autonomy, mentoring junior and senior administrators while serving as a trusted strategic partner to Finance, Commercial, Client Operations, and the C-suite. Key Responsibilities - Platform Architecture & Strategy - Define and own the long-term platform architecture and roadmap for Momentive's Salesforce Platform ecosystem, aligning technology strategy with enterprise business objectives. - Define and execute a Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) strategy; align platform roadmap with broader digital transformation goals and influence strategic vendor negotiations. - Serve as final escalation point and technical authority for all platform decisions. - Evaluate emerging Salesforce platform capabilities (e.g., Agentforce, Data Cloud) and provide executive-facing recommendations on adoption roadmap and ROI. - Platform Administration & Governance - Establish and enforce governance frameworks, naming conventions, and configuration standards across the org. - Lead enterprise-wide governance for user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings. - Define and enforce security architecture standards across business units; partner with InfoSec and audit teams to design proactive risk mitigation and compliance strategies. - Own release strategy and governance for Salesforce upgrades, patches, and new feature adoption; establish automated audit frameworks and compliance dashboards for proactive platform monitoring. - Lead Tier II/advanced support operations; troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, define escalation protocols, and direct vendor relationships, SLA negotiations, and support governance across teams. - Functional Development & Automation - Architect, evaluate, and govern deployment of new functionality for Salesforce Platform at an enterprise scale, continuously improving the user experience while balancing technical debt, scalability, and total cost of ownership. - Design and implement automation using declarative tools (e.g., Salesforce Flows; Certinia workflow capabilities) and serve as the internal expert and approver for all automation design patterns, ensuring consistency and long-term maintainability. - User Enablement & Organizational Capability - Own and drive rollout of relevant Salesforce capabilities across practice areas; develop enablement strategy, build internal documentation standards, and mentor junior/mid-level administrators. - Recruit, develop, and retain platform administration talent; contribute to hiring decisions and team capability building. - Reporting, Analytics & Executive Insights - Own KPI reporting and dashboards; define the enterprise analytics strategy and data model to support executive-level reporting and multi-year forecasting, including integration with BI tools and data visualization platforms. - Deliver data-driven insights on platform performance, launch outcomes, and operational health; develop predictive analytics and advanced dashboards to support executive decision-making and continuously optimize commercial outcomes. - Integrations & Enterprise Architecture - Lead integrations between Certinia, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other business systems; make build/buy/partner decisions on third-party tools and serve as the technical owner of the integration architecture. - Architect and optimize complex data models across Salesforce orgs and integrated systems; drive data governance strategy including deduplication, cleansing, and stewardship frameworks. - Evaluate and manage third-party tools/AppExchange applications; assess iPaaS architecture and integration governance. Qualifications - 8+ years of progressive experience as a Salesforce Administrator with Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certifications, with demonstrated Certinia PS Cloud/CS Cloud expertise. Additional certifications (e.g., Salesforce Architect, CPQ Specialist, or equivalent) strongly preferred. - Experience with integrations and data flows among Salesforce, Certinia, and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred); demonstrated ownership of iPaaS architecture, integration governance, and multi-org strategy. - Strong understanding of Salesforce administration best practices, data governance, security, and compliance requirements. Experience defining and auditing governance policies, conducting org health assessments, and remediating technical debt. - Expertise in data governance and stewardship frameworks, including experience with ETL tools, scalable data model design, and enforcement of compliance standards across the platform. - Advanced proficiency with declarative automation and analytics (Flows, reports, dashboards, and orchestration frameworks) and the ability to set platform-wide standards for automation design, including documentation and peer review processes. - Ability to read and review Apex code; comfort directing developer resources on code-based solutions. - Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tooling and formal release/change management practices, including UAT planning and sign-off processes. - Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills; able to influence cross-functional stakeholders, drive enterprise-wide initiatives, and translate complex technical tradeoffs into business-impact narratives for senior leadership. - Hands-on experience with configuration elements such as custom objects/records, imports, page layouts, workflows/approvals, reports, and dashboards. Ability to conduct technical reviews of others' work and provide structured feedback.
