• As a Senior Engineer at Nearform your main task will be designing & building applications using Python. However as you’ll likely work on a variety of projects your responsibilities may also include: • Supporting component design, development and maintenance and taking responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team. • Assisting with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment. • Designing and implementing data storage solutions. • Optimising performance in applications for maximum speed and scalability. • Getting feedback from users and clients, and building solutions for them. • Assisting with the analysis of client requirements. • Working with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery. • Collaborating with client teams.

• Design and implement scalable, event-driven backend integration services using Kafka. • Contribute to architectural decisions and drive best practices. • Develop and maintain robust backend services using F#. • Design and evolve RESTful and gRPC APIs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align integration services. • Maintain operational awareness across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application layers.

• Develop new administrative and customer-facing applications for e-commerce and general operations. • Develop an innovative software solution to revolutionize an entire industry. • Write thoroughly tested, well structured, and well written code to the highest industry and in-house standards. • Work successfully in a team environment. • Maintain and re-engineer existing production code. • Translate descriptive requirements into technical tasks. • Collaborate and update planning documents and documentation with business analysts and project managers. • Communicate with stakeholders and capture requirements. • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessitated by business needs.

• Support legacy web applications built on .NET Framework 4.8 (MVC) to ensure stability. • Develop new modules and services using .NET 8. • Maintain and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework 6 (for legacy) and EF Core (for modern apps). • Execute the migration of specific modules from legacy frameworks to .NET 8, ensuring zero downtime and data integrity. • Build user interfaces using Bootstrap 5 and implement new components with modern vanilla JS or Blazor.
